We have some huge news to share! Our film has just been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Rogovy Foundation as part of their Miller / Packan Documentary Film Fund allocation for Winter 2018. We are incredibly thrilled and grateful to them for believing in our film.
We are equally excited to continue our travels and complete our filming in the coming months! There is still more work to do and more money to raise before our film hits theaters – and this grant helps us continue building out our story.
Our first round of filming, way back right after the 2016 election captured the feelings of a nation fractured and divided by an extremely difficult election. This round of filming looks to add some perspective to that. Over two years later, what is the mood of the nation? What has changed since 2016? Are people more divided? More optimistic? And now, with the benefit of hindsight, what are the lessons we can learn to better heal those divides for the future?
Soon we will be checking back in with ordinary Americans, but also with some very important experts ranging from well-known professors and authors to well known social commentators who have their fingers on the pulse of the American Question.
We appreciate your past and continued support and look forward to updating you soon from the field. In the meantime, stay tuned as we are going to be launching a new round of crowdfunding to raise capital for editing and post-production. Even if you’ve already contributed in the past, you can still help by spreading the message and encouraging friends and family to get involved.
In short – we’re making a movie everyone!
